Resources for Learning about Blockchain

Below I have collected a couple of resources I’ve found helpful in going deeper on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies.

I particularly found the courses “Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies” and “Introduction to Digital Currencies” helpful. The former put more emphasis on the technical background, while the latter focussed on monetary policy, banking and digital currencies.

  • Fantastic course that goes reasonably deep into UTXOs, consensus in the face of malicious nodes, etc. including programming exercises
• IBM Blockchain Foundation for Developers
  • relatively basic course by IBM

EdX

• can “audit” for free
• Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies
  • Good high-level overview about Blockchain in general, and the Hyperledger projects (Fabric, Sawtooth, Iroha, Burrow, Composer, etc.) in particular

• Introduction to Hyperledger Fabric for Developers (free)
• Introduction to Blockchain for Technical Executives (free)
• Introduction to Ethereum for Developers (free)

Udemy (frequently offers available for < 20EUR)

• many courses about Ethereum, Dapps, etc. available of varying quality
